Cognitive Behavioural Art Therapy - more than words....
This modality of therapy is available for clients who are interested in using art or image making as an additional tool to engage in psychological therapy. You don't have to be creative or have any previous experience in art making to enjoy the visual and sensory aspects of art therapy. It is simply another modality that can be used to facilitate the process of engagement in psychological therapy, self-expression and self-awareness. Art therapy particularly lends itself to creative problem solving and viewing situations, thoughts, feelings and behaviours from a more helpful and realistic perspective. This type of therapy can be provided in the art studio or via telehealth consultations using a video link. No special materials are required, just paper and some basic painting or drawing materials of your choice.

Medicare rebates & Bulk-billing
Clinical Psychologists working in private practice will charge fees that vary considerably from one psychologist to another. Our fees are less than the 2024 Australian Psychological Society’s National Recommended Fee Schedule. Clients are eligible for a rebate back from Medicare of $137.05 for each session fee charged if they have a GP Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). You can expect to receive fee policy information and have the opportunity to discuss it prior to commencing therapy.
Bulk-billing available - if you are referred under a GP Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and are the recipient of a pension/concession card and on a low income we have opted to offer a bulk-billed service (no out-of-pocket expense to you). Please advise if these circumstances are applicable to you as we intend to facilitate access to mental health care for all.
NDIS Clients: Clients who are self-managed, agency or plan managed under an NDIS Plan are charged the recommended NDIS rate for Individual Therapy (Psychologist). Please contact us for further information if you have any queries regarding access to psychological therapy or what to expect in obtaining services from this practice.
